Chaplain Mike happily joined our Spero Gardens Community in 2024. 

Pastor Michael Feuerstahler (“Chaplain Mike”) is a retired pastor of the Wisconsin Ev. Lutheran Synod (WELS).  He served at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Lake Mills, WI (1982-1990); Shepherd of the Hills Ev. Lutheran Church in Inver Grove Heights, MN (1990-1994); and St. Mark Ev. Lutheran Church in Brown Deer, WI (1994-2022).

He loves connecting with residents, family members, and members of the Spero Gardens care team to give guidance and encouragement from God’s Word for their faith and life.  “Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord their God” (Psalm 146:5).  He is eager to explore and pursue periodic special presentations for residents, their families, and friends of the Gardens that will enrich their spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being.

“Chaplain Mike” as he likes to call himself and his wife Wendy reside in Hartford and are members of Peace Ev. Lutheran Church.  They have three adult children.
